Round-up Your Old Paint and Unwanted Household Products
Arlington County will hold a household hazardous
waste round-up and paint recycling collection on Saturday, October 23.
This collection is available to Arlington residents only (commercial or
business wastes will not be accepted.) The collection will
take place at the I-66 Parking Deck, at N. 15th St. and Quincy St., between
9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., rain or shine. Get rid of unwanted latex
and oil-based paint products, flammable solvents, automotive fluids, garden
chemicals, household cleaners, and many other flammable, poisonous or corrosive
household products. For further information, call 228-6832.
Also, there will be car child safety seat inspections, registration for
home fire safety inspection, and free smoke detectors from Operation Fire
Safe. For information on these activities, call 228-4644. In
addition, compost bins created from retired refuse carts, will be on sale
at $10 each. Questions about these compost bins can be answered by
calling 228-6570.

returns home for her first performance in two years at a benefit for the
Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing. TJ Theatre, 125 S.
